Justice Gaines

I make security systems legible — to the people who run them and the people they protect.

Cybersecurity student at the University of Oregon (B.S., June 2027), President of the UO Cybersecurity Club, and Cybersecurity Compliance Coordinator at BizCare. Most recently a Partner Solutions Engineer Intern at SentinelOne, where I architected a partner-enablement standard for the MSSP channel.

Graduating June 2027 — seeking new-grad solutions engineering and partner-facing security roles.

What I Build

Security tooling and programs, built to be operated by people who did not write them.

IRUN — Incident Response University Network

Co-leading a community incident response help center at the University of Oregon — a personal-SOC model for individuals rather than enterprises. Enterprises get SOC teams; individuals get nothing to call when something goes wrong.

SOC-Risk-Engine

A custom Python risk engine for the UO Teaching SOC, built on TheHive, MISP, and Cortex to automate threat scoring and response. Dual-profile scoring — ALE models for organizations, identity-theft exposure for individuals — with Docker Compose, CI, and onboarding docs.

NIST AI RMF Implementation

A compliance implementation of OpenClaw, aligning AI orchestration with NIST AI Risk Management standards.

Agent Hive

Hackathon team project at QuackHacks 2025 — won "Best Implementation of Google Gemini API" at MLH. An AI orchestrator that decomposes natural-language requests into executable workflow chains, built on top of n8n's workflow engine.

Where I've Worked

Partner Solutions Engineer Intern | SentinelOne

Jun 2026 – Aug 2026

  • Architected the Partner Success Kit, a unified partner-enablement standard replacing the siloed approaches that separate partner-facing teams had each built during the company's growth.
  • Ran discovery with 10+ stakeholders across two MSSP partners, which restructured the work into two components: a partner handbook replacement for onboarding, and a recurring Partner Health Check that turns existing-partner feedback into a product-development input.
  • Specified the handoff routing Health Check output into the Solutions Engineer Innovation Forge for technical success managers, product engineers, and solutions architects.
  • Presented the completed kit to the Solutions Engineering organization, Talent Acquisition, and the full intern cohort.

Cybersecurity Compliance Coordinator | BizCare, Inc.

Dec 2024 – Present

  • Own compliance across a 22-client book, running control automation over 100+ endpoints and a third-party risk management program on Secureframe.
  • Manage organizational alignment with industry-standard frameworks like CIS IG1 and conduct regular internal risk assessments.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and document compliance milestones.

Founding SOC Analyst | UO Teaching SOC

Oct 2025 – Jun 2026

  • Contributed to the architecture and operational deployment of the university's first student-run security operations center, maintaining custom Grafana dashboards to visualize endpoint security data for the team.
  • Monitored and analyzed real-time telemetry using SentinelOne to mitigate threats across university infrastructure, collaborating on incident response workflows and threat-hunting standard operating procedures.

Student Compliance Analyst | UO Risk Clinic

Oct 2025 – Jun 2026

  • Managed the Risk Clinic's Drupal website and spearheaded stakeholder engagement by conducting targeted webinars to educate critical infrastructure clients on State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program (SLCGP) funding.
  • Supported non-technical risk assessments by evaluating programmatic controls, collaborating directly with the Oregon branch of CISA to ensure evaluation procedures aligned with Cybersecurity Performance Goals (CPGs).

Owner & Founder | Cybersecurity R&D Group, LLC

  • Manage business operations, payroll, and strategic research for a specialized cybersecurity S-Corp.
  • Lead R&D initiatives focusing on security automation and threat intelligence integration.
